Claudio Monteverdi: Vespers of 1610

Come celebrate New Year's Eve with Choral Arts Philadelphia and the Bach Festival of Philadelphia, led by Artistic Director Matthew Glandorf, will offer a rare New Year's Eve performance of Claudio Monteverdi's: Vespers of 1610. The late afternoon performance at S. Clement's Church in Philadelphia will feature an intermission.

A historically-informed performance to greet the new year.

Our recently established tradition of a New Year's Eve celebration continues! We look forward to this year's event to mark Claudio Monteverdi's 450th birthday with historically-informed performance of his timeless Vespro della Beata Vergine (1610).

The 2014 and 2016 New Year's Eve performances of J.S. Bach Christmas Oratorio were both sold out, with the 2016 performance being broadcast live on WWFM Classical Music Network.

This performance will take place at St. Clement's Church in Philadelphia at 2013 Appletree St., Philadelphia, PA 19103.
